KFCU is charged everytime you log on to Online Access.

Of course we want you to have access to your account information but do ask that you limit your logons with the following information in mind:

• KFCU online account information is updated M - F around 8 am after Direct Deposit and Automatic payment files, Debit card transactions and Checks have posted and then again after all business day transactions at the branch have posted, at around 4 pm.
•  No information will change after 4 pm or on weekends. 
• Debit card transactions are presented in batches that cut off around 3 pm daily and post the next business day around 8 am. Some signature based transactions may be further delayed depending upon the merchant where you used your card. Because of these delays, it is very important that you keep track of your debit card transactions.
• Never go just by the balance you see online. Remember, there may be outstanding checks and debit card transactions.

New fees have been implemented effective August 1, 2008. You may review them by clicking on Fee Schedule to the left. One fee addresses excessive logons. If you log on more than 30 times in a month then there is a $5 charge.

FAQ:  When will I get my Rebate from the U S Treasury?

If you opted for Direct Deposit of your regular tax refund then your Rebate will be Direct Deposited. When your rebate will be deposited will depend upon the last 2 digits of your Social Security Number.

Rebate checks will be mailed in groups determined by the last 2 digits of your Social Security Number if you opted to receive your regular tax refund by paper check.

             ATM SAFETY ALERT:It has been reported in various places, especially the internet, that if you are being held up at the ATM there is a way to use the ATM to contact the police...This is not true and could endanger you. Do your best to remain calm and do what you can to keep the robber calm by getting money and giving it to them...remember ATMs have survelliance cameras so their picture is being taken and the fact that your withdrawal was forced is being documented. Try to prevent the situation in the first place by being alert to your surroundings and remember there are now ATMs in many secure locations such as convenience or grocery stores. Remember it is only money - keep safe!

The Internet can be a great place to learn more about your money. One place to go for great information is the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) Website at http://www.smartaboutmoney.org/nefe/pages/home.asp This site will give you good suggestions for small steps that you can take that will make a big difference. Remember that while you are exploring the Internet that you  have to be cautious. Never give out specific personal information like social security numbers, account numbers, personal id numbers or credit card numbers . If someone says on the phone or in an email that they are from somewhere that you do business, do not assume that they really are.  Ketema Federal Credit Union will never call you or email you to ask for this information. If someone says they are from Ketema FCU and does ask for this info, please hang up and call us. Let us know. We will watch you account closely for any unusual activity.

Save yourself a bounced check or automatic withdrawal.

Ketema Federal Credit Union processes all files (checks, automatic withdrawals and ATM withdrawals) first thing in the morning (around 8:00) but only after we have checked phone messages, the night drop box and the internet account access e-mail messages. If you need to make a deposit or a transfer, please call us, drop it in the night drop or send us a message via your internet account access e-mail. Automatic overdraft transfers are $5 and a bounced check is $25. ATM withdrawal overdraft transfers are also $5 and if your account goes negative due to an overdraft at the ATM, the fee is $25. You can also leave a message if you will be making a deposit later in the day. In this case, the fees will still apply, but we can delay sending the return, possibly saving you fees on the other end. If we do not know you are coming to make the deposit we have to return the check or automatic withdrawal but if you advise us that you will be making a deposit the same day we will hold the item. So let us know-leave us a message.  Another way your credit union takes good care of you!
